A love of wood…
Ever since he was a young boy playing after school on sailboats, Richard Searle has always had a passion for wood. Now, after a career sailing across the world, from America’s Cup to Maxi Class yachts, Richard is applying his love of construction, and working with timber and composite materials, to a new passion.
Working with native and exotic timbers has always been something Richard has done whenever time away from sailing allowed. Having spent time completing a number of building and restoration projects at the Wairarapa farmhouse he owns with his partner, Richard now works with customers throughout the area on custom timber projects.
